Photo model Rambler 1903
The Rambler is the original Nash. Through several changes in name and company ownership this car has always maintained a fine reputation for quality and dependability. The first Rambler was built in 1902 and except for a few minor differences was the same as our 1903 model. The engine in this car was located under the seat and drive was by means of chain and sprocket. The hood at the front of the car was actually a storage compartment with its lid on the top. The dos-a-dos seat is perhaps the forerunner of the well known Rumble seat. This seat was detachable as well as being an extra accessory. Several of the original cars are still in existence and they present a marked contrast to todays 1949 Airflyte Nash cars.
